I do not think it is the correct product. You should be looking for pickling lime (calcium hydroxide).

It's salt not lime

It's likely calcium chloride, which would be okay for supplementing calcium only, if we knew what the trace contaminants were like.

It is nothing but pure table salt, Sodium Choride, without any Iodine or anti-caking additives, which actual table salt has. If one was making their own seawater mix this would be one of the NaCl's to use. You would never use Morton Table Salt but Morton Pickling and Canning Salt.

Grow some cucumbers next summer and make pickles.

It's also fine for pretzels.
I don't know why my mind blanks on this product. This is about the fourth time I've confused it with the pickle crisp items.

You are starting to have senior moments, it is quite common to whom ever just said that. You and that chemist, what's his name guy, are in in charge, as I'll be it Texas for a few weeks But I will still have internet access to spy, like that what's his name guy use to.

Using Google, I came across this source selling pure food grade calcium hydroxide (pickling lime) for $6.93 per 5-lbs ($1.39/lb). I have no idea what shipping runs but it looks like shipping is free if your total order is at least $75.
If all you order is just five pounds, your shipping will probably be more than the cost of the lime. Sounds like a good idea for someone with a large tank or for maybe a few people to pool an order. Looks like they sell a lot of other stuff, too, in case you want to get your total order up to $75 for the FREE shipping. My local Wal-Mart (Hammond, LA) stocks Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime in summer and then reduces the price in late fall. For example, it used to be $2.64/lb but they reduced the price to $2.00/lb.
