Green Mushrooms

Hi some of my green mushrooms have just done a strange thing and curled over whats that all about.

Clownfish DO NOT host anemones/corals. It is the anemone/coral that is the host.

When they do split, do they spread onto sand or will they only successfully split onto another rock?

Yep, eating. I feed mine shrimp pellets occasionally and they wrap around them like that.

There is a picture of a mushroom eating a cardinalfish this way in Borneman's Aquarium Corals book (which is a great book, btw)

I have several of these and one in particular is very large. It does this all the time. Sometimes if it has caught something floating in the water or if on of the fish aggitates it. Sometimes it does it when I am cleaning the tank.
