They don't seem to open anymore than this at the mo will they open more?
They didn't seem to like the Aqua puty beds i made for them so i had to move them.

There mantels will overlap the shell when open, give them a few days and adjust them to the lighting and when they are happy they will open.

how do you tell the sex of the Flasher as i would like a couple of females with 1 male
