The Big Fight

well i was happy at the progress of my Anenome and that my clowns were in it but now it a fight to the death they wont stop fighting they were really happy together until i put the Host in.

will they stop ?

Usually one will give in sex themselves accordingly. I doubt they will kill eachother but it would not be the first time it happened. Its best to let them sort it out.

Hi clownfish sort out who ever is male or feamle this way, they wont hurt eachother that is unhealable? this is how they sort it out in nature to, so just let it be and watch because they will only ever do this once unless one of them dies and you add another clown then the process will start all over again

My two cinnamon clowns did this when I first introduced them to my tank (the anemone was already there, but "unused" by the previous clowns). The female (larger) clown won the fight for the anemone and now the male hosts in my frilly mushrooms on the rock above the anemone.

i have a leather toadstool just below the anenome, at the moment they are in the dark both in the anenome not fighting!!!

The vibrating sounds like a mating ritual. Unless there's signs of damage, I wouldn't worry.

ok heres my experience....i had two clowns, then i added the anomone and they fought for five days.....if they are locking mouths then you are like me and have two females and they will kill eachother...also like me....from the look of the pictures they are locking mouths so you most likely have two females....they are fighting over whos going to be the dominant female....once they are female they cant go back to male so you are basicly screwed if you got two girls there
