The camera is straight in the pic, the tank may be a bit out of level

Maybe whenever I speak to Mary or Richard, I'll ask them and see if I can get some more.
How much more do you think I should get for the 90?
When you talk with TBS on the phone ask them how deep the sand would be with your dimensions. I actually have a fairly non-standard tank size, it is low and wide and so you get a lot of surface area. My 40 gallon tank has more surface area than my standard sized 55 gallon, therefore I probably should have ordered a 55 gallon package!!

Since you have a standard 90 gallon with the footprint of a 75 I bet you get a much thicker layer of sand using their formula.

Quick Batman, to the..........Peppermint Shrimp cave??

This really is the Peppermint Shrimp cave, they all hang out here in this cave. I had some great pics of 5 of them in a line swaying back and forth but the camera chose to break. Actually, the CD-RW I was using chose to break.

Believe it or not, that lump of red algae is a crab!!

The end of Part 2 Day 13

Tomorrow will be two weeks with part two in the tank and about 7 weeks total with the package. Water parameters:

pH: 8.2
SG: 1.025
Temp: 25C
Ammonia: Close to 0 but not quite there yet
Nitrite: 0.1
Nitrate: less than 5
CA: 450
PO4: 0.2

I still cannot find the black mystery fish sooooooooo.......

He is DEAD!!!

There, I have oficially declared him deceased.

I will not be back until Monday so no tank updates Sat. and Sun. I just do not feel like going in to work this weekend so I am taking some work home with me instead!!

That also could explain the mini cycle you had DW. But I would think he is kicking somewhere, you have all those cool places for him to hide

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Although he was a small fish and I guarantee he would have been consumed quite quickly. I will try and find him again Monday if I do not go in tomorrow!

Whats wrong dw....can't stay away for one weekend?
I know I wouldn't be able to if I had all those tanks to drool over.

Dwculp it looks like you need more water movment on the top of the water. It looks like you have algae or something floating on the waters surface. I had that in my tank till I added a PH pointed up so it broke the water surface. tank looks great I like all the sponges.

Yes, I have the typical surface scum on the top. I have one PH pointing towards the surface and another angled downward. I have thought about getting another PH and placing it on the opposite side and pointed up to break up the rest of the surface scum.

Maxi-Jet, I use them exclusively. Great power heads, strong, quiet, and cheap, you cant beat that combination!!

I have a Trunze Stream 6060. I haven't tried it out yet, but heard it would be good enough for movement in my tank.

In the reef I have a Maxi-Jet 1200 in the front left angled down and towards the back right. On the top right I have a Maxi-Jet 1200 pointed up across the back. Both are 300GPH.
