I think my clown has ich

I noticed today that my female clown has some white spots on her. They look more like bits of cotern hanging of her how can i find out what it is none of my other fish have it. I tried to get a photo but they didnt come out to well. none of my other fish have this

I feed my fish with OMEGA ONE MARINE FLAKES it contains 2% garlic would this help

hard to tell from the pics. the flakes will help keep them eating though. if it is ich you will have to QT all the fish and do hypo or copper treatments.

but you said it looks more like cotton? it could be brook aka clownfish deisese.

how long have you had them? what are your parameters? (numbers please)

You might be seeing lymphocystis. If so, it's a viral disease, and there's not much to be done except feed well and keep the water conditions up. Google should turn up some pictures. I can't tell much from your shots.

The problem might also be a fungal infection. If so, I'd set up a hospital tank and treat the animal in that.

ive had them for about 1 week they where very healthy started eating as soon as i put them in the tank. they are wild caught. my lfs qt his fish for 2 weeks so i dont use a qt tank

No not realy. It just looks like a tiny pit of cotton wool stuck to its side in a couple of places i see if it gets any worse in a couple of days

Okay, I'd definitely get a hospital tank going. Some formalin would be one way to treat.

If it is brook you need to follow Bertoni's recommendation or simply hope for the best.
