Don't corals have spots on their snout? That is how I usually tell them apart.
Mine is a marbled right? |

As Adults it's much easier - Coral Cats are brighter colored with White spots - Marbled Cats have black spots and grayish bands. As pups - Coral Cat start out with whitespots on a dark gray body, As they start mature the dark gray (almost black) becomes like black spots(right next to the white spots). Eventually as they reach maturity - Coral Cats lose the Dark gray spots completely Marbled Cats - as pups tend to be a bit lighter - with white spots. But as they maturity the lose their white spots - and keep the black spots with gray bands. As for your Catshark = I would have to say - Coral Cat also. |

And here's my grouper. Our LFS gave him/her for free when it was still around an inch or less. Then today,he's about 6inches or more. |

My bamboos and epaulettes are more active during the day than my coral cat sharks. Their activity definitely increases at night.
During the day, the corals do not move much. At night, they are very active until fed and then become sedentary. |

my banded bamboo is also active, but rests under the rocks from time to time. I want to have an epaulette. Very nice shark. But there is none here. |
