clownfish breeding setup
Hi I am currently setting up a 50 gallon breeding tank for A. clarki
I have and ehiem external canister with some media from my existing tank and carbon and a 40watts of mixed light. I plan to go bare bottom (oo-er) and furnish the tank with a piece of slate and a terracotta plantpot. Once the tank is cycled will I need any thing else apart from regular water changes. Another power head? No skimmer due to low bioload. Thanks |

You will need someplace to put the larvae and growout tanks for the fish after metamorphosis. Plus you will need tanks for rots and algae (assuming you are using live algae cultures instead of Instant Algae).

thanks for the advice
I wont be using an anemone. Will a clay plant pot really be enough cover to keep them happy? |

tanks are not required for rots and phyto. Old salt or kitty litter buckets and pop bottles will work fine and are much cheaper and easier to handle.
