Arrow Question on Fire Goby's

Can anyone tell me what these fish are like? Are they shy or quite confident?

I'd love to get one but am worried because my flame angel is a bit of a bully and really hates the royal gramma and wouldn't want it to harrass the goby if I got one.

Let me know guys

IME, they are shy fish. My 1st one wasn't until I introduced a sunrise dottyback that bullied him. The 2nd one was always that way.
I lost both of mine from jumping out of the tank. Be sure you have an enclosed top. They are jumpers and can find the smallest slit to escape the water.... Sure is a beautiful fish.

Yup ... shy fish, I had one and my Gramma bullied it to starvation. Everytime I fed the tank if he came out the Gramma smashed into him and chased him back into the rocks.

edited to add ...

My Gramma is also a little wired ... he barks at the glass if I get close. No sound, but he makes these little charge motions and opens his mouth like he's barking!!! Hillarious!

Unless you decide later to add a top, I would strongly advise against any goby. They are all jumpers if even slightly startled. Mine jumped throught a 1 inch gap-SIDEWAYS! I couldn't fully enlcose because I have a hang-on skimmer and they dont custom make tank tops for bowfront aquariums as small as mine.
