switching mangrove from fresh H2O to salt
I have 3 mangrove seedlings I got from a store cause they were almost dead in June...I stuck them in some mud and gravel and put them on a ledge in my pond and promptly forgot about them. They are now about a foot tall with lots of leaves. I'm wondering how long it would take to wean them from fresh water to salt...has anyone ever done this? I have an old plastic fish breeder and I'm going to put some plastic mesh in the bottom, add sand and crushed gravel and suspend it from back side of my tank into the water. After they are weaned off of fresh, I will plant them in there. It will be right under a 400 MH and some compact PC's. Does this sound do-able or am I just spinning my wheels? Should I just stick them in my greenhouse window and forget about turning them into saltwater lovers...thanks for the opinions....
