Going to Bonaire this spring, any recommendations?

I am going to Bonaire this spring and would really appreciate recommendations from those of you that have been there. I have not booked any accomodations yet and would love to hear from those who have favorite places to stay. Any information at all would be great.
Thanks

I love Buddy dive and Sand Dollar. Sand dollar has the best house reef on the island. If you are an experienced diver don't forget to dive Lac Bay on the other side of the island. Awesome. Best shore diving in the world is in Bonaire. You will love it. In my 25 years of diving it is my favorite place to dive.

Been there 4 times and love it. Have friends there now. Stayed at both, Sand dollar and Buddy Dive. Buddy was a little better and they were cool even when I wrecked one of there trucks. I will let you know how my friends made out at buddy this time. They will be back Sunday.

Thanks for the help,
I'm really looking forward to it. Any other suggestions on food, grocery shopping or restaurants, maybe your favorite shore dive, etc.
Anything you wish you would have brought but didn't?
I've heard good and poor reviews on Crazy Larry, is a boat dive the only option on the east side?
Anything else would be great!
Thanks

You can shore dive off Lac Bay. Just enter near the conch shells on shore. You cannot miss them. Ask which direction if divers are there to find the giant school of tarpon that circle there all year in the hundreds. Currents can be rough on that side so it is best to ask before going in. There is a small grocery store in front of Sand Dollar for odds and ends next to a great ice cream shop. There are 2 really good grocery stores in town, just ask. Favorite shore dive. Lac Bay when it is not choppy but just about every dive in Bonaire is awesome!

Check here for some great info. If I am not in Reef Central I am on WWW.scubaboard.com but go here for Bonaire....
