First time Snorkeling/ First time Scuba diving/ First time in Cuba

well i just got back from my first time ever leaving Canada,

Honeymoon at Paradisus Rio De Oro, in Holguin Cuba...

what a beautiful vacation...i had such a wicked sweet time..first time ever scuba diving...3 hours of lessons in the pool then off to the ocean...instructor only took us down 15'...but it was so cool and now i have the bug...gotts do it again...

anyway here are some of the pics i took with a POC underwater Polaroid point and shoot...

first up:

that was only cool shot i got scuba diving the rest are too dark or too blue...

The rest are snorkeling...man that water tastes like poo when you forget to clear the tube..
soft coral of some sort: and big too about the size of a 2dr kia

wide shot random corals:

Some SPS:

the best shot of the day:

and fish: bunch of big buggers, and a powder blue tang by the looks of it..

the head of the class: last shot i took before running out of film...i think they are atlantic blue tangs...2 of them...not 5 seconds later after running out of film on these two...300 of them swam by...hence the title head of the class (school)

the weather though slightly overcast for most of the trip it was awesome and so too was the resort...

of course on my third day in the ocean i found piles of beautiful ricordea, zoas, what looked like acros....porcupine fish, groupers...etc... i wish i wasnt so premature the first time in and held off a little, then i could have enjoyed the experience for much longer...with better pictures..

Looks like a great trip!!! Congrats on your new married life!!! And now that you got the bug you need to go on and get certified!!! You might as well, cause you just can't get over the bug once you have caught it!!!

The "big buggers" are Yellowtail Snappers. My favorite fish to eat!
