Macna XX - Atlanta 2008

Several of us were able to attend MACNA this year. All I can say is "WOW". Between the banquet, lectures and trade show, it was well worth the $150.00.

Next year, the conference will be held in Atlanta. As an early bird special, you can sign up for a price of $89 now through the end of September. Included will be the opportunity t get a behind the scenes tour of the Atlanta Aquarium and a banquet at the Aquarium. To top that all off, the banquet hall is run by Wolfgang Puck.

To sign up go toMACNA XX

Sure - more details will be on the website soon..

We have a year long murder mystery - who poisoned Walt Smith.
We have a variety of suspects, and you will be able to vote for your suggestion with raffle tickets. One of the correct guesser will win a 10 day trip to Fiji.

Steve,
The question is how does one actually get that rate? If you go to thier website and register, we will pay a lot more. Do we have to enter a special code?

I am sure all this will be announced shortly.

My brother and I will be registering early!! It was our first MACNA. I do have to say that it was a great experience. However, after hearing about some aspects of the Atlanta MACNA, I expect more great things!! Great way for club members to hang out, too!!

Just a reminder, you need to sign up this week to get the lowest possible conference rates.

Also up on the site is the video from Walt Smith. He talks a bit about the trip to Fiji that they will be giving away next year and the attempted assassination on him (I don't trust that Steven Pro character).

yep, last chance before the cost goes up for full admission. At $89, what a great deal. I signed up my entire family. Having MACNA next to the aquaruim will be awesome.

Steve,
When we get our hotel link, are we just reserving the room or are we actually paying for it now?

Thanks Steve, for keeping a watchful eye over this. I just made the hotel reservations. Look forward to next Sept. I must add, I visited Atlanta for a Delta Interview a few years back, didn't get the job, but had a hell of time down there. Can't imagine the fun next year with a conference and the aquarium to boot.

A little birdie has told me that they have sold out of Hotel rooms. They are in the process of negociating for another block of rooms.

If you haven't signed up for your room yet (like me), you need to do it now. My understanding is that you are just reserving the room. You won't be charged for it till September.
