Seahorse Conservation NEEDS OUR HELP Please Read
hi...i dont know if this was posted here already nor is this the right area of posting this. im just passing this along:

the problem is that by the time we get around to signing it and having it go to where it needs to go. it'll be too late. i only get fish i know are captive. or bred by friends.

Signing petitions and writing letters are a great place to start and I'm happy to see some activity of this kind.
But what about the wildlife right outside your back door? If you're a coastal resident in the United States, take a look at the sorts of protection we have for our estuaries (like the Chesapeake Bay, the Delaware Bay, the Narangansett Bay, the Indian River Lagoon, the Laguna Madre, the Monterey Bay, or the San Francisco Bay) and think about our own American coastal activities. Are we doing enough for our own sensitive species here at home? Are we doing enough for dolphin, loggerhead sea turtle nesting sites, lined seahorses and dwarf seahorses, and their seagrass habitats? Is there more that we could be doing for local wildlife with our own government? >Sarah
