lets talk great beer

No miller or bud macro brewed garbage, just the good craft beer. Best beers in your opinion. I for one think that three floyds alpha king is a freaking awesome followed by bells hopslam IPA.

if anyone lives near the three floyds brewery and can get ahold of the dreadnaught IPA please let me know i cannot get it around here!

I brew my own beer and I think it tastes the best I've got a 10 gallon all grain setup. I've brewed about 15 batches thus far and have turned out some really incredible brews.

Red Hook Ale...with baseball hot dogs. It's a major, but it's good as some of the hand-crafteds.

I like Red Hook too (its certified Kosher!) but the best beer comes from my house. Mostly Belgians and the hoppy stuff.

Red Hook Ale...
There are a lot of great beers out there but I keep coming back to this one. I'm assuming you are talking about Redhook ESB? Their IPA is pretty good as well.

As I said before, Spaten Optimator - not a wheat beer...buy just one, drink it cold, cool or room temp - unbeleivable...not the kind of beer you want to go through a 6 - 1 or 2 does it...

My 3 favorites (to answer the question):
1. Spaten Oktoberfest
2. Sam Adams Octoberfest
3. Bells Oberon

My 3 favorites (which are available year round)
1. Free
2. Cold
3. From my buddy Craig's fridge

Being German to the point of being born there.. I tend to like dark beer.. Murphy's Irish Stout.. Guiness.. and such.

One that isnt a dark beer that I like a lot is Blue Moon.

Being from Washington myself I love Red Hook but it is hard to find at times here in Wisconsin without it being too old. Just had there seasonal Winter Hook and loved it as I do every year.

Rogue's Chocolate Stout is great, but only from caske/keg...it's horrible in a bottle for some reason.

Guiness, Harp's and Bass are always safe bets for me. Most often though, if I can't see through it, I'll probably like it.

Has anyone ever tried a beer called Grain Belt? It used to be bottled in Iowa.. I dont know if it still is or not.. good domestic style beer though.. if you see it.. give it a shot.

dunno if its considered a major, due to it still being regional, despite being the oldest brewery operating brewery in the US, but Yuengling Lager is my fave hands down.
