Gigas in trouble

I have a 12" Gigas sitting on the sand in my 210G for abour a month. No problems, he seemed open and happy.

But, he has stayed closed up now for about 2 days. He doesn't show any signs of distress other than being closed up but is this a sign of trouble?

BTW, I also have a Crocea and (2) Maximas that seem to be doing just fine.

For the record:
Lighting = (3) 250W MH w/ 10K bulbs and (2) dual bulb T-5 lights with True Blue and Atinic bulbs
Flow = Return plus (2) Vortech heads
Water parametes = Nitrate is about .25, Ammonia is 0, ph is 7.9, temp is 78, Calcium is around 410, alkalinity is high - it was around 16 and is coming down now and is at 10.

Please help!
