Question about skimmers

I just got a little 44 gallon corner tank. Its in our main living room so i dont want a sump or external over flow system.

What would be a nice HOB filter for this size tank? Also should i run the carbon that comes with the filters?

Should i get a HOB skimmer If so who makes a nice one fairly cheap.

Im just doing a few clowns and anemones's in this tank.

Thanks
Chuck

HOB filter - Aquaclear brand, probably a 110 for that size tank.
Skimmer - AquaC Remora or Remora Pro, or a CPR Bakpak

You don't really need a hob filter unless you are running carbon. If you have at least 1lb/gallon of live rock that will take care of the bio filtration. I would get a nice skimmer though. The Deltec Deltec MC300 or a Tunze DOC skimmer would be sweet. The Tunze is an in-tank skimmer.

Don't forget your lighting if you want to keep anemones.

you need to some heavy reasearce on anemones and clownfish they need very specific requirements and water quality, not to mention lots of light

also you cant keep a few clowns just one pair in a small tank
