Currently I do gene research... for a few more weeks at least.

and in about 7 more years of schooling, if the government doesn't ruin the medical profession with one of dozens of potential "bright ideas", I might give something back to the world

People tell me their problems, I take them on and make them mine. I lose sleep and get headaches for them and ultimately solve them. For this I require a modest sum of money. When I ask the people for it they tell me that they don't have the money right now, but don't worry, I will get paid. Then, I never see or hear from them again.

To get this job it took only 20 years of schooling, four internships, one year of indentured servitude and ten years of working for the government.

Now I want to build custom fish tanks and propagate corals.

That sounds much like my job, except 53% of the people who come to me have no intention of ever paying their ER bill. The phrase which still makes me laugh is, "I can't afford to go to the clinic, so I came to the ER." Also, no matter how much people say they hate us and how many complaints they file with the administration, they keep coming back for non-emergency problems time and time again.

well if you decide that college isnt for you, you can always be a GRANITE INSTALLER! and instead of BEING a doctor, you can regularly SEE the doctor with you back pains and muscle injuries!
