I started getting gray hair in my mid 20's - right about the time we started having kids.

Started at mid 20's, I believe. Just here and there, no big deal.

Then one day... (at around 39), it seems I just went totally white overnight. I was like Marie Antoinette whom went “white” the night of her execution.

Why can't science figure it out what the problem is and why ?
Is it some nutrition, minerals or vitamin C that I lack or what.

it was about a month ago when i was getting my hair cut when the lady cutting my hair asked if i ever thought about coloring my hair. Sounded silly so i asked her why and she replies well your starting to gray. At this time im only 21. I didnt really think it was all that noticable. To say the least i was actually kinda sad when i left thinking about what she said.

I think mine showed up around 30 and have been adding a few every year since then, thanks to my teenage son.

I don't have grey all over just in a stripe down one side about an inch wide. It like a skucnk stripe just not on center, wierd. I'm the only one in my family with it also.

You see, I thought the "drapes" were out of fashion recently. Not that I'd particularly know...I'm no expert in that area.

i have many, many, many gray hairs. i earned every single one of them. i am proud of every single one of them. i have never so much as used a rinse to cover any of my gray hair. i love my gray hair. it makes me look distinguished.

one of gary's brothers turned gray at the age of 16. not even really gray. it's quite white.

whatever you do, do NOT pull it out. my mom always told me if you pull a gray hair out, you'll get 3 more in its place.

there, are you guys happy now? i have posted in the gray hair thread. may i be excused to go feed my horses now?

One of my girlfriend's husband started turning gray in high school too. One day she was out doing yard work in the back yard and made a comment to him about another squirrel getting killed because of the gray hair in the back yard. He gave her a really angry look and told her that it wasn't funny! And how she knew that was his hair from when she had cut it out on the deck a couple days previous! She said she could have died because she actually didn't realize it was his hair and not a squirrels!

Hey...since we are both from Connecticut....how about you give me your hairdressers phone number!!!!!

And no.......I have not plucked it out for fear that multiples will return. Not saying there is anything wrong with multiples either...

So, since I have thin hair, if I pull one out and 3 grow, will my hair thicken up?
