cpr overflow box HELP

HI all I have a 135 gal reef...

I have a CPR overflow box, for I stupidly bought a tank that wasnt drilled for overflow.

This cpr thing works OK, but sometimes isopods get stuck in the tube where it sucks out the air to start the siphn. then the siphon stops and the tank overflows spilling from 2-5 galls allover the floor.

I use a maxijet 1200 to keep the siphon working...

Anyone out there have this problem?

Suggestions how to fix?

thanks

do a search on "siphon break" and you'll find tons of threads that talk about it. "CPR siphon" might also yield some good results.

On those overflows, the syphon shouldn't stop just because that little hole is blocked by a pod. What is causing it to stop the syphon? It should continue at least until your return pump stops or it gets alot of air trapped inside.
