kind of like who would have a LS400 as their Avatar, I mean come on. Lets get serious folks.... J/k

I was looking online one day for a pic of miss piggy for this joke we were playing on someone and came across the pic of gonzo and it brought back some nice childhood thoughts. All though I will probably change it to the new york giants symbol here in a few months.

I like the different avatars I think they kind of represent the members personality.

My avitar is an Alien by Colorado Custom Hardware. Its a spring loaded camming device used as protection and aid during rock climbing. CCH invented the alien who knows how long ago and caused a slight revolution in climbing hardware. the alien line is the ULTIMATE thin crack piece of pro. with the thin head, concealed springs and floppy stem they can fit where nothing else can. some el capitan routes in yosemiti had to be regraded after these hit wide spread use as an aid climbing tool. the greatest contibution they had is that some routes could now go "clean" as in, no hammer required. thin cracks and pockets at one time could only be protected or aided by bashing in pitons with a hammer which would then scar the rock. these days you can simply stuff an alien into the old pin scar and move on. it is now considered very bad style to use a hammer on most of the yosemiti trade routes such as the salthe wall or the nose.

Love watching it as a kid. Cried when he died.
I still remember the Ultramann song..

Ultraman, Ultraman
Here he comes from the sky.
Ultraman, Ultraman,
Watch our hero fly.
In a super jet he comes
From a billion miles away
From a distant planet land
Comes our hero Ultraman.

My dog's right eye.

Initially took to document a medical condition, but I thought it was cool too.

The dog eye is way disturbing. I like it.

Mine is Kai, the undead former assassin, holding Squish, the cluster lizard that helped save the Light Universe from His Devine Shadow. From Lexx, a fantastic series that nobody watched.

Used to use the NIMH logo, thinking that my being in mental health was somehow appropriate to this hobby, but then decided that it was pretentious and I could get in big trouble with the guvment.

All of my various avatars have had some meaning (even when I masqueraded recently as a foreign chemist). This one should be obvious-- I'm a YES fan.

It's about time (whenever that mentality change happened). It kills me that plucking a flower can get you a fine in a public park, yet climbers can freely hammer away at rock face-- which doesn't regrow! It should be considered vandalism in any public park AFAIC.

A branching LPS coral that I've had for years. There are frags all over the country that came from one original I picked up as a newby. No one has been able to identify it for sure, it's neither torch nor frogspawn, but a little of both. Commonly known as an "Aguthingy". Dwayne named it after getting a frag and having no clue as to what it was.

How 'bout some help here

OK, given all this avatar talk, please notice mine. It's either a photograph of Claude Raines or I don't know how to put one there (hint: it's not Claude Raines).
A little help please?
Thanks,
Tagamet
