20k XM's don't come in pulse start, now what to get?

I've got a 400w 20k Radium that has about 8 months on it and I want to replace it. I've searched on here about the different bulbs and I've been hearing alot of good things about the XM 20k bulbs. The only thing is, they seem to only come in probe start and I have a pulse start ballast. I want to stay with 20k but I'm not sure if I want to get another Radium because I hear that they don't last long. Is Ushio good or would another brand be better? Or is the Radium worth getting? I want something that has a good mixture of blue and white. Or should I drop down to 10k? Hmmm, what to do, what to do? Pictures with different 10k and 20k bulbs would be cool if you have any Dang, I really liked the prices of the XM's too. Thanks.

XM 20000k will work perfectly fine on a pulse or probe start ballast. I run two of these on pulse start ballasts.

Wow, that is awsome. I was just under the impression that they only fired under probe start like the website says. If they are working for you, I just might have to get them. How do you like the XM 20k bulbs? This is so cool, I think I'm going to have to get one now.

Same here w/the pulse start. Work perfectly and I LOVE the color even better than my old 20k radium. I've got 2-250w 20k and 1-400w 20k XMs and they look awesome.

Great, this makes me feel soooooo much better knowing that I can get the 20k XM. Just wondering, how long do the XM bulbs last?
