sfarid123...If you are putting your media in a canister filter then you can put it in a mesh bag. If you are using it in a phosban reactor then you shouldn't. They are designed to let water flow freely through the media like a fluidized bed. Also, less flow is better than a lot because you will break down the media faster and have to change it sooner if there is too much flow, and some of the media will find it's way into your tank.
