copper stain on my live rock

so i was doing a water change and I poured the water in too fast and ls went all over. it went all over the ls and in a day the lr turned copper color. it looks like a stain on it. i got all well as much of the ls i could off of the lr with a baster but the copper color remains. whats going on here. should i be worried. and what if anything should i do about this
