Placing a torch next to a hammer...?

Hi,
I am starting to lack space in my reef tank and had to reorganize things a little. I ended up placing my torch coral next to a hammer. One branch of the hammer is only 1 or 2" away from part of the hammer. The torch is placed higher than the hammer. So far so good. Have anybody experienced problems with this kind of placement? Could it be that species within that genus (Euphyllids) tend to tolerate each other?
Thanks!
Ricimer

exactly. I have torch and frogspawn against each other, and no real problems.

It's usually hit or miss if torch will agree with others in the family. I haven't tried mine yet but have hammers and frogs touching, this is normally fine.

My torch pretty much killed a few heads on one of my frog spawns. It ended up stinging one head a few times and the tissue slowly started receding until I had to break the branch off. I now keep my torch and frog spawn very far apart. : (

my frogspawn and hammer were together for a few months, then one day.................. I guess they got into a bad argument because the frogspawn killed the hammer.

My green, pink-tipped frog and pink hammer have intermingled for 2 years. I added a torch to the row [on the frog side] about 3 months ago, and some spats, but no damage. I'm told this is a somewhat cooler breed of torch: fine tentacled, light green.

My frogspawns, torches and hammers seen to intermingle unaggressively.

My hammers have stung my candy cane, though, so watch out for that.

Mine too has fine tentacles light green, altough it gets darker under less intense light (and prettier IMO...).
Thanks!
