Here's my monster
About 18 months ago it was a 2inch frag. I recently sold the colony but kept a few frags for myself.

I posted a pic of mine in another thread but thought would be cool to have pic here as well. This thing makes all my other corals colors look to be washed out.

I lost the link but it was a discussion with Eric Borneman talking about how almost all the Green "Neptheas" in the hobby are not Neptheas but instead Sinularia. It is very hard to tell the difference unless you have a microscope.
Doesnt really matter ... still one of the coolest soft corals.

Am i doing something wrong? I've had mine for over a month now, and it hasn't grown at all. I've been having a cyano problem, that i'm starting to get under control, so i don't feed much. could that be it? it's still really bright, but not any bigger.

I got this one from someone breaking down a tank earlier this year. It was a larger colony but I had to frag it due to the poor condition of the rock it was on. The polyps move more than any other coral I have seen except xenia. Any thoughts as to what it is?

Alright, I think the water movement was too strong. I moved it clear to the other end of my tank, in the low flow area. Hopefully that helps, i really like this coral.

IME the Palau Sinularias grow pretty slow actually while other sinularias grow like weeds. Chris |

i guess i'm not going to worry about it. I've had it for awhile, and it's still alive, so that's good, right? the color is still awesome. BTW, I paid $30 for this little frag. pricy, i know, but worth every penny(it's THAT cool).

one of the biologists at the Oklahoma Aquarium has a of this in her system, but she says it's "green tree Sinuaria". Whats the difference? She says that nepthia isn't photosynthetic...that true?

Nepthea is photosynthetic. Dendro & scleronepthea are not. sometimes Neospongodes are mislabled as Nepthea too.....
