anyone into online RPG's

Not looking for one that you play through your home console.

i've heard about games that you play and are only available online. I did a search but found too many sites and some of them are text only???

Basically I'm seriously confused.

I'm looking for a game like Baldurs Gate, hack and slash fantasy, quests, buying and upgrading equipment etc. something that I can play alone if I want but also have the ability to meet other players and join up for a quest once I get more exp.

dying to try this just can't find where to go........

Thanks, any help/hints appreciated.

I play Kingdom of Loathing. text based RPG with cool stick figures and lots of funny pop culture references. lots of equipment to upgrade and buy, lots of quests to complete, and lots of players willing to help if you get stuck.

I also play a couple of browser based nation building games just to use up the spare time.

www.anarchyonline.com I have been playing this game off and on for a few years. You can have a noob account(free) or pay a monthly fee and have different equipment and different worlds to go to. You basically select a profession, such as an engineer, enforcer, medic, or lots of others, and then have special abilities and level...you can do solo missions, or can team up with others to do missions...

World war 2 online battleground europe!!!

i play this game and i must say it is one of the most realistic and heart pounding games ever. You can play as the French, British, and German navies, armies, or airforces. There is an awesome array of weapons such as the feared tiger tank to the british spitfire. Kill and capture and rise through the ranks! Join a squad or start your own!
