That is some mad light for a smaller tank. I'm glad to hear you're getting good color under your MH. I have 2 Lordhowensis colonies and they're coloring up REALLY nice under the Phoenix 14K bulbs (250W).

Keith, the tank looks sweet! What is the bright green/yellow coral on the bottom / right side?

It's on my 340, and I have four 250W Phoenix DE bulbs up there. They are getting indirect lighting.

Saying that, I'm getting rid of them. I think these are some of the best bulbs available, but the DE doesn't work for my tank. I'm going to Lumenarc III (3x) and running 400W. Either Aquaconnect (if I can find them), Radiums or the EVC 14K bulb. I like the bluer lights.

Someone over on my local reef club forum used a pic of your tank for an example of how awesome an LPS tank can look. Unfortunately, he was the only one who thought that. haha

Awesome tank.

Let me do some digging, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to find it.

yeah but nutrient control is way easy when you are not feeding every day (well twice a day when i have fish in a tank). i have never had a reef atnk w/o fish so i doubt that this one will be any different but i am going to take my time (just like i did with the coral selection) and plan this one out.

what do you guys think of a twelve line wrasse? they are so sweet.
