prep for reef
Hello all. My 120 gal. tank has been set up for 6 weeks now and all water parameters are good. I just recently purchased a small green star polyp frag. Now my question is, aside from calcium and iodine is there anything else that I should be doing ? I heard this was a good beginners coral.

Yes I believe it to be a good beginner's coral too. Is it polyping yet? Theres nothing really special you need to be doing to care for it. Just know that they spread fast and can take over your rocks and other corals in the future. I'd suggest maybe getting a ca/alk test if you don't already have one.

Do you test for calcium and iodine? If not I Would not dose them. Gsp will do grate with just a stable tank some light and good flow. Good luck, Robert
