Either rowaphos or phosban will work well. I have used both with success.

All are pretty much the same as far as leaching metals into the water that depends more on the grandular size and how much flow you are pushing through it. If to much you grind the GFO releasing into the water coloum. At Two Part Solution they sell bulk GFO very cheap and it is the exact same as all the others as a matter of fact they will eaven let you know that all GFO comes from the same place in germany.

None of the GFO or GFH (basically the same things, one is shipped dry and one is shipped wet) medias will leach metals. The aluminum based materials will though so stick with GFO or GFH.

so GFO = (type 1, ship dry, phosban)?
GFH = (type 2, ship wet, rowaphos) ? Is there any difference in effectiveness? I read several conflicting reports on them |

Nothing significant. They have both been used in the drinking water industry for years as an arsenic remover and neither has proven to be any better than the other.
