What are you using for substrate ?

What are you using for your substrate ? Do you like what you are using ? What would you change if you did a new set up ? TIA Ted

1/4" white starboard,i love it and wont ever have sand again.

I would have screeded the sand to remove some of the big stuff in it. Otherwise I'm a DSB kind of guy.

I went the starboard rout for a while , but I still like some kind of sand in the tank . I did BB , because I have an acrylic tank . As we all know sand is hard on acrylic . I think a sand substrate takes more work to keep up , but I like the look . Just me I guess . Ted

I have the same sand as Mike.. LOVE IT!

I like the larger items in it, gives the diggers something to build their caves with.

HD playsand
i like it never had any real problems with it algae is normal and the price was right
its a decent color a lil more whiter would be nice but i am satisfied with it
i have never tested for phosphates so i am not sure if that has ever played part in the tank
