Euro-Reef RS80 for sale -- $150
I recently purchased a Lifereef skimmer for my system. (With 100gal total volume and a heavy fish load, I needed a larger skimmer.) I've now removed and thoroughly cleaned my Promo RS80 skimmer, so I am offering it for sale. $150 plus $20 for shipping. The money will go toward a new light fixture for my tank. Can't beat reinvesting in this hobby... :-)
The skimmer is in excellent condition, and was given a thorough cleaning on a regular basis (every 2-3 months). It has the wedge pipe, but also comes with a 1.25" gate valve kit from Euro-Reef. I used both on it, and both work well; the gate valve is just a tiny bit more precise for adjusting the water level. There is only one thing I should note about the condition of this skimmer. The LID of the collection cup (NOT the cup itself) was dropped once, and there is a crack in the clear acrylic part of the lid (the part that helps collect and collapse the foam down into the cup. It's not very noticeable, and of course the performance of the skimmer is not affected by it. The Promo RS80 retailed for around $180 while it was offered by ER. Here is a chance to get one in practically like-new condition PLUS a gate valve kit for just $170. This skimmer works amazing well, and Euro-Reef is among the best brands in the business, in terms of a quality product. If you're interested, PM me. The skimmer will ship in its original packaging with the owner's manual, and I will try to put it in a bigger box to add protection.
