THIS IS A REALY SHOCKER(I found this on nano-reef) I cant believe that they say in the show that it is actaully eaasy to take care of a marine aquarium, AND CHECK OUT HOW MANY FISH THEY PUT IN A 5 GALLON!!!

Blue hippo 3 in. a cuple clowns, star fish, SEAHORSE!!!

And they adress the fish by there finding nemo names...dory and nemo!!! There is no such thing as a dory or nemo fish!

THAT'S the reason us LFS employees spend so much time explaining that nemo can't live in a bowl, and why starting with something a little larger than that 2g desktop tank would be best for SW

Ironic that she is asked about the most common mistake people make when setting up a tank and she replies that people put to many fish in the tank!

Very upsetting. I know several people who thought it was easy, went and bought all the stuff, set it up and within a week the problems began. Not fair to the public to be airing junk like this and not fair to the fish who will have to suffer through it.

"The most common mistake is that people put too many fish into their aquariums. The general rule is about 1" per gallon, and now below us we have a 5 gallon tank, with a 4inch "Dory" , 2 3inch Nemos, a 3inch seahorse, and a starfish. But dont worry, we have a HOB filter and theres almost no chlorine in the tank!"

Well I had to go throw up after watching that. It was like a Saturday Night Live skit of the exact opposite of our hobby. So much bad information and representation, I think it was her first time seeing a SW tank also and she was reading a cue card.
I do want one of those filters though, all you have to do is change the disposable cartridge and you have crystal clear water, oh and don't forget the water conditioner vanna white just showed us....

I cringed most when she just dipped her hands into that tank.

I cant even begin to imagine all of the lotions, oils, perfumes, makeup, and junk her hands have seen through out the course of the day.

That's funny how not adding that water conditioner before dumping the fish in is one of the biggest mistakes people make. Remember that you should float the bag 5-10 mins before simply dumping them right into the tap water.

I wish they could have shown what the tank looked like 2 days later, full of algae and dead fish. What the hell does Tetra know about marine fish? They don't even make any products??

"And don't forget... Every saltwater tank needs a good clean-up crew. Just make sure you add plenty of water conditioner before you release the two mantis shrimp in with Dory and Nemo."

That is really amazing, to think I spent all this time on my tank, getting the Rock to look juuuussttt right, and there they just dumped it in with a plastic American flag... GENIUS... where can I get one of those?

You know, I would have really liked to have seen the rest of the clip where she says it is ok to pet the piranhas as well, and gets her hand eatin off on live TV...

A little camera shy? Maybe they should just drop in a few of the 30+ clowns in the other tank so they can be friends and help the piranhas relax...

I mean, they are just fish...

Where is this station?
