Who wants a Tank Thread Forum?

I know I do! I love reading tank threads but, don't always want to subscribe. Sometimes they get lost especially in this forum. So how bout it?

Mods: Please keep in this forum for as long as possible before moving to feedback .

Yep, I was thinking that if you posted a tank thread you would have the option of putting it in that thread and not have it moved from somewhere else by the mods example: Many great tank threads are in Macro Forum, Seahorse Forum, Large Tank Forum and thread starters may wish to keep those there, or they may wish to join the new forum.

Well we got 12 yes votes in the first 15 minutes of being on Reef Discussion. Then 1 no vote and moved to Feedback and Questions. Just curious as to why this got moved so quick? I thought since most tank threads were in Reef Discussion it would be an appropriate place to post?

I didn't move it, but I'm guessing it was moved because it was a request for a change to the forum organization, and the most appropriate place for that is in the feedback forum.

Yes I moved it for that reason.

Not a request yet. I was hoping to get some feedback from RC users before submitting to the Staff as a formal request. Not much traffic in this forum. Do you possibly have another (better) way for me to go about this?

I vote yes. It could be called "The Diary Forum" or something along those lines..

Now that I think about it I can see why Reef Discussion is not the best place.
May be this could be moved to the Lounge for discussion?

If you're suggesting that we move it to the lounge for some serious discussion, my hunch would be that you don't post in the lounge very often.

Never mind, it is a silly place.

Perhaps the Lounge should be renamed to Camelot.

OK, so may be the lounge is not the best place either.
Can some one move this thread to the Feedback forum please!

I voted a yes, but what are we going to do about the current tank diaries that are going in all the other forums? Move them all?

Or maybe tank diary owners could pm mods to get their thread moved to the "diary" forum.

Its a very good idea.

I have read lots of such diaries on RC and it never dawned on me that RC doesn't have a specific forum for this. I voted YES, as the diaries of tanks have been without a doubt the most helpful threads to get me started in this hobby as well as provide inspiriation to keep me going. This is a no-brainer - RC needs a forum for tank journals/diaries.

I have voted yes as well (as I have in the past). Not much interest I guess. An easy search for this request pulls up these threads:

Thanks for doing a little research to help the cause. After looking through all of those I see that there has been interest in the past. This thread has gotton more views, votes, and responses from Mods and staff than any before. I will make sure it stays on the front page of this forum for quite some time, that way we are pooling our efforts. I originally wanted this to be a discussion in one of the other forums, and felt it would have been easier to poll the users (rather than to go to the staff with unsupported request), but you see this thread landed here by the will of the mighty moderators.
On the bright side, it won't take a ton of effort for me to keep it pinned to the 1st page of this forum .
