how slow do PPE grow?

If i give good conditions, lighting and flow, how many polyps would PPE produce in a month? 1, 2? obviously this varies, but could you give me a general idea?

The first colony of ppe's that I got, I was told to expect only 1 or maybe 2 polyps per month.
When I got it, there was only 2. Within about 2 weeks there were 2 very tiny buds and they grew out and within a couple more weeks there was a couple more and so on. In about 4-5 months I had a total of 13-14.
So I would say 2-3, in my case.

I've found that they do well in a wide variety on tank conditions from low light (pc) to high light (mh). I do leave mine on the bottom and in a slightly shaded area. The first colony I got I had out in the direct mh light and the polyp's grew fast, but had some spots in the purple area. When I shaded the colony they grew a little slower, but tended to remain solid purple.

Saw the picture of your ppe's on another thread. How long have you had those? How many did you start out with?

I just noticed that mine have 2 buds coming up. I've had them about a month now.

I started out with about 40 polyps and now have over 100. Just broke up the colony that is in the picture yesterday. we'll see how quickly the frags grow now.
