manifold design
I have a 65g tank 47X18X18 and was wondering if this design would be ok?
Using two 1000gph/H pumps each with intake from main tank so very short loss of power there. Can you use two pumps like this? Would it be possible to add one or two more outlets or would this work? I will be using tubing 16mm or 22mm in diameter |

I would add a couple more outlets. I am using two 1200 gph return pumps from my sump on my 120. The pipe from the pumps and perimeter loop are all 1" PVC and I have seven 3/4" modlar pipe outlets.

My design is very similar. I found that the outlet between the 2 pumps really took a lot of flow away from the others and had to use a ballvalve to cut it way back.

Won't the pumps output at the "junction" counter each other, thus doing a dis-service? Maybe better separate piping, of 1 pump for 1 side?
