Why?
What does it matter?
So long as you get the money ship the item.

A buyer's Confirmed Address is checked against the credit card billing address maintained by his or her credit card company, or confirmed by PayPal through an alternate process. By shipping to this address, you reduce the risk that your buyer is using a stolen credit card. (Fraudulent buyers sometimes enter the real billing address of that card to pass the address verification check but try to get you to ship to an address where they can receive shipment.) Confirmed Addresses must be in the name of the account holder, and thus Gift Addresses in someone else's name can never be confirmed.

Sellers must ship to the Confirmed Address, among other requirements, to be eligible for the Seller Protection Policy, which covers sellers against the risk of chargebacks.

why make things simple when it's so much more fun to over complicate the issue.

Here come the vultures.

FWIW...

Confirmed addresses do NOT protect from chargebacks or fraud. They reduce the chances so they will insure the transaction. If he is funding the transaction with a CC he can dispute the charge with his CC company and they will return the money if he knows what to say his complaint is. He can lie and your not covered. I have had it happen to me (only once though).

DJMEAT has been on RC for about as long as you. I have looked at his postings and I really doubt he is going to stiff you for $50.

Actually I already paid. I would love to ship to my home address but UPS/The UsPS/ And Fedex all seem to have diificulty delivering to my apt. It has cause me no end fo trouble online buying things. Here is just the latest chapter. I give my work address now because we have a recieving department . if you want to go through th annoyance of sending this controller to my house only to get it back in the mail a week later by all means be my guest. just don't keep my money.

DJMEAT-

You can confirm your work address also. I have. They send you something in the mail, you enter the info on their site, and you are confirmed at 2 addresses.
