Hi beautiful tank and it looks well planned,im curious how you are planning on situating your ATI powermodules seeing there 4 ft long(48") and your tank is only 6ft long, since you are getting two are you planning on staggering them or something else like that??
Do the powermodules come in shorter lenghts now?

Thanks.
Jamie.

Yes, they do. they come in all lengths, depending on the wattage you buy. I'm getting 39w, which are 3feet long

It wasn't the tank that thinned out the wallet!

Thanks for the complements on both the tank and kitchen! It's our favorite area in our home!

We're still in the middle of our remodel...will try to get some more pics soon. Next pics will show how the facade is removed for tank maintenance.

Nice to be in the "secret society"! These tanks are amazing - love the look and build quality! Add Tom's service on top of that, and you can't go wrong!

Very nice, are we seeing another room through the tank or a reflection of something on the other wall? (Will it be seen in two rooms?)

Just a reflection. Not a see-through tank. My last tank - a 240g - was a peninsula-style room divider. Wanted something different this time.

Here are some pics of my "facade" - aka my fake cabinets

Our kitchen designer is brilliant. I asked for a facade which could be removed in pieces and which could be removed quickly and easily. He came up with (4) panels. Each panel simply hangs on to the subframe via simple hardware.

1) View of Tank and framing - tank is screwed into the wood frame, which is screwed into the kitchen cabinets...my tank is staying put during an earthquake

2) Close-up of framing - notice the hardware which the facade hangs on

3) Close-up of hardware

4) My fake drawers with pic of hardware on backside of panel

Very nice tbone! That is exactly the idea I was going for with my stand. I had the option of going magnetic as well for easy access.

Did you end up using the magnets? How are they working out? My panels are on the heavy side - don't want to worry about magnets keeping the upper panels "up".

You guys think I should paint the frame to protect it from the water?
