pictures of my manifold

Here are some pics of my maniflod and my intake i am going to use.The intake will be pretty deep in my tank and i am concerned that by using this i will not be skimming surface water.

fantastic... thanks for sharing!

FWIW... my critique/opinion is that I would make this loop slightly smaller so that it sits inside and under the plastic trim (the trim will wide it's said profile... and the recessed lip above it (that the glass canopy sits on) can be drilled with holes to cable (tie) suspend the loop. If this sits on top of the tank, it will be awkward and a salt creep monkey over time

Also... your articulated pipe is a bit longer than it needs to be for a tank this size. No harm... just harder to hide at the surface.

Really fine job overall though Thanks so much for sharing pics!

Anthony

Thanks Anthony for the advice.I wasn't exactly sure about putting the manifold under the lip of the tank for two reasons.

1. I was worried about seeing it when I lookinto the tank because my stand is so tall.I was going to fasten it to my canopy by way of galvanized cable holders used when you run cable tv wire on the outside of a house.I screw those into canopy and ziptie to those.
2. Also because I am using 1.5" pipe to feed it I was trying to eliminate a 90 fitting right at the top of the tank this way I can have the pipe go directly into the reducing tee.

I left the articulated pipe long because this tank is 30" deep and I was concerned about the flow reaching the bottom of the tank.I figured I could just arc the pipe if it didn't look quite right.

You could use a couple of 45's instead of a 90 out of your T. It would look something like this:
