I went to college in St. Louis (WU). One thing you should know is that the metro area is not one big city. There's nothing in the STL city charter that allows St. Louis to annex the smaller municipalities around it. So if you really want to get to the right police department, you should find out where exactly this place is located. Umm... creve coeur, clayton, university city, frontenac - just to name a few possibilities that I can think of off the top of my head. I don't know how the STLPD is structured or whether they have great communication between the different 'cities.' Perhaps someone with a problem will be able to look this up and get a faster response for the folks here.

Addendum:
Whoops.. just saw the post by MaxxII.

I believe his business is located in St Louis City itself. So any reports would need to be filed with St Louis City PD.
Good luck.

I would also encourage anyone who has an outstanding account file a claim with paypal - even if it is past the 45 days. If enough claims are made even the overdue ones will get opened. They are not a waste of time. At the very least it will prevent him from using paypal to shaft the next guy.

He called me after Frankie told him I was looking for him. He said he was sending a MO for a refund and then failed to call this evening with a tracking number, which he promised to do. I am not sure he's shifty, but I have never met anyone that fails to follow through on what he says so often.

Since many of these deals are more than 45 days old, paypal will not help. I filed a chargeback with my CC company, paypal did not hear from him to dispute so I got my money back in the end - but you need a CC company as they carry a bigger leagal stick that any individual. I ahve also filed a complaint with the fraud department of the police department. Slighty different juristicion as someone mentioned, but because the deal was initiated in the city, he could take care of it. Most of the deals are such though that they are misdemeanors and no one will chase the guy down. Of course if everyone who has been ripped off files a comaplin, the next time he gets a speeding ticket would prove to be a very unpleasent experience for him. The number is posted earlier in this thread. If anyone needs his contact info for the cops, let me know.

I sent him one last email stating that I would give him 2 more weeks from today or I was taking any and all legal action I could. I don't expect him to respond, so I'm thinking I will be contacting the fraud department too. Can you send me his contact info please, and do you have any other suggestions of stuff I should have together before I contact them? Thanks again.

Wow. I really appreciate all of the info on this thread. I was seriously thinking of placing an order in a few weeks with this vendor. I'm glad that steps are being taken to reimburse those of you who were out $$, I hope every one of you ends up with at least a refund. Thank you so much for posting, and watching out for fellow hobbyists.

I would not suggest anyone patronize this place. If it were not for Visa going to bat for me I would have been out several hundred bucks. He no longer answers emails or phone calls. Buyers beware.

Prices are pretty cheap. Can't you just order via credit card, and then dispute the charges if he fails to deliver? I've had to do this in the past and have never had a problem.

i think this is the reason why he may be successful again. no matter how many people got scammed there will always be people who are willing to give it another shot. which is strange because there are so many other options. long as he totally changes the way he does business i bet people continue to buy from him and he does very well .

only thing that bothers me is to this day he has never given anyone an answer as to why he didn't follow through with so many orders and decided to keep all of their money. We all know he is well aware of this thread because his friends have posted here about it. Doesn't inspire a lot of faith if hes not willing to even try and explain what happened.

BTW if it is like last time he only takes paypal payments which are harder to dispute than strait credit card payments. the main problem is even if they approve your refund there has to be money in his account to refund or you get nothing. you can read tons of examples of this very thing in the last few pages . all of which should call paypal and try again now that he is back in business and will have money in this account.

Why take the chance, waste the time, and go through all the aggravation of dealing with a shady business?

Go to the Casino or horse racing track near you. Gamble with your money there... losing money there will be more fun.

Well, I totally hear what you are saying. But sometimes it comes down to price. His prices are around $15 for a frag. Often times it's $20-$25 in the FS section. So with a few different kinds, it really adds up.

Like I said, if I can order by CC, I might give it a try. But if it's paypal only, not worth the risk. The credit card dispute is just too easy. If you don't get your stuff, you make 1 call and the charges are off your account within a day or two.

if you get taken that is your problem
we warned you about this (is saving 5 bucks a frag worth the time that will be invested)

when it comes to price, keep in mind that for $15 all you are getting is a 3-4 polyp "half frag" when from some other places deliver 20-30 polyps for $5-10 more. it is also about more than just if "you" will get your order. Should you reward him with your business when he scammed so many others in the hobby out of their money or at the very least made them beg for their money back? Most of them didn't get anything until they contacted the police. That said I'm sure after all this time he now has a large stock and will be delivering on time. I'm sure that everyone who orders for a while will be 100% happy. Keep in mind that if he now has this stock built up, he has the option to make good and deliver to the people he ripped off but instead has chosen to sell them to new people. He also has yet to make any public explanation or apology.

I would consider these to be safer options and i know there are some others i am not aware of : )

I made a review of some of these places a while back . it may be of use to you . BTW , keep in mind that most of these places are selling the exact same color zoas, it's just some are better at taking pics than others.

this is my last post on the topic , anyone who sees this thread has the information they need . its up to them what they choose to do with it . Good luck to everyone , including nick. I hope you end up making good on all old accounts and in the future provide a good service . This thread may even help you, as they say "There’s no such thing as bad publicity." You are in the spot light now and if you work hard to keep people happy you may end up very successful after all this is said and done : )

I know that people are going t look at me as a bad guy on here most likely for what I am about to say, but I just talked to nick today because I was concerned about my order after reading all of these posts that are on this thread. He assures me that he is taking care of all these problems with funds now that he is back up and running and that my order will arrive on time. I am just letting everyone know what I have heard, Im not siding with anyone so please dont look at me as a bad guy or something cause I consider myself neutral in this battle

I would like to offer my apologies for out "heated" conversation earlier in the other zoomania thread. It really wasn't any of my business. I hope it works out for you, hopefully this guy has learned his lesson and will make good. Time will only tell.

I offer my apologies to you to spalmer114, no harm done. We were both a little heated up and I cant blame some of these people for feeling the way they do, lord knows I would feel the same if it happened to me and hopefully God willing it wont. But just in case I have been keeping in contact with him on a regular basis just to check up on things, I even asked him about this situation that has occured and he has assured me that he is working hard to straighten everything out, but I guess we will see
