I was feeding the aiptasia again tonight, and figured why not take a few pictures at the same time. The cyano on the sand is a real eyesore, but it'll clear up soon I'm sure.

A. granulosa

Birdsnest - two different kinds that both are exhibiting growth points.

The pink hammer was very pretty, and I noticed the left side doesn't have any green showing.

The pink & purple milli frag is doing great while the mother colony is STNing in the back of my tank due to a lack of light, I'd guess.

The T. maxima clam looks great. Zoanthids are closed up because I was killing aiptasia, and the cyano really ruins the shot. Still, the clam is not one to be ignored.

ORA Sunset Monti

I thought this was a nice shot of several corals at once.

Really nice shots. I've noticed some of your corals have very unique coloration. That pink hammer is a show piece for sure.

You're much too hard on yourself about the cyano. It's not the first thing you notice in any of your photos. Flat and purple reminds me of coralline anyway.... Count your blessings, you could have wavy and green...or the particularly gross round and green...

13" wide when the pumps are running, and quite a bit more when all the circulation is off. It likes to stretch out and relax on those occasions.

Last night I noticed that my Colt coral has decided to stop holding onto the rockwork at the base of the Toadstool and simply latch onto the side of the trunk of that leather.

While visiting Lunchbucket's reef, I noticed his Calcium Reactor bubble counter was moving in slow motion. It was really neat, and later at Goodwin9's home, he gave me a bottle of the mystery syrup.

I noticed my bubble counter was empty again as of yesterday (it either evaporates or bubbles the liquid up the airline tubing), so I cleaned it well and filled it up with this oil

Here's a video of how it looks.

I don't know what it is, but there was some discussion that it might be glycerol. Chuck, where did you get it?

don't you just love the looks of how slow the bubbles go? I think it is very neat compared to ones with just rodi water in it. and dang you have alot of bbubles going through yours. but gotta meet demands.

Here's the problem I have with that "Bubble Counter Liquid"...

Sure you can get it from marine Depot, or you can find it at a drug store...

I like it. I like melev had to refill mine a lot and the bubbles go faster in RO/DI

Somone said they used baby oil but not sure if I would use that.

Also, not sure how this would get into the tank?? It is too heavy to be sucked up w/ the gas out of the bubble counter

So I can go to CVS and just buy glycerin liquid?

Lunch, I didn't think about it being too heavy to be sucked up.

I don't think the RO/Di water is actually getting sucked up, but rather being evaporated. JMO.

Thanks Chuck. I wonder how many people see that and say "I'm not going to pay $6 for a bottle of water." The description could be enhanced with a little more information. Like "The South Dakota Reefers recommend this..."

Jonathan - if your item is the same, that's good to know. When I used the bottle I got from Chuck, I still had at least 60% left over.

Marc, I agree. I wouldn't buy it based on their description. In fact, I'm not even sure I would buy it not knowing what it is made of.
