I thought that's what you meant. Usplastcs sells Sch. 40 pipe in gray. What's it's real wordl application???

I'd refrain from using Sch. 80 pipe where ever possible. The outside diameter of Sch. 40 and Sch. 80 pipe is the same (for fitting compatability), but the inside diamter of Sch. 80 pipe is smaller than the inside diameter of Sch. 40 pipe because Sch. 80 pipe is designed for increased pressure.

The wall thickness of Sch. 80 is thicker, hence a smaller inside diameter.

As far as using 2" cutters, I always place the cutter on the ground because the ratcheting mechanism will slip on occasion if you don't push all the way through on each stroke.

I find that a radial arm saw is the best device to cut PVC pipe. A chop saw would work well too, and you get very straight cuts that way! For as many cuts as we make when building one of these systems, it really pays to get a good tool to do the job.

Well it has been a long past few days but I have transfered and glued all corals up. I lost some small frags but other than that no coral loss quite a few are dull in color but seem to be happy.

I'm still waiting on 3 more lumenarc's and 2 6ft VHO's to come in and my lighting will be all done.
It will consist of:
4- 400w 10K MH's with reeflux bulbs in lumenarc reflectors
4- 6ft VHO actinic's
4- 24" VHO actinic's
still haven't got my calcium reactor online that will be tomorrow's project.

I used two bicycle lifts to hold the light rack up so here are a few pictures:

Light rack all the way up

a little flow

That's pretty sharp! So your tank gets natural sunlight on one end? Will that boost algal growth?

what can I say this Deltec Skimmer is the best skimmer I have seen or owned it was working within miniutes and I haven't had to do any adjustments to it.
The most foul odors that I have ever smelled have come out of this thing

3 days worth

a few hours after cleaning

oh and here is a video of the close loop working before I got everything in:
Right Click here and click save as

thats all for now I will post me detail pictures once I get all of the lights on the tank.

The wall will hopfully be built in a week or two and I have a few odds and ends that I need to work on.

Thanks for viewing

That's interesting. I wonder if you couldn't use it to your advantage and maybe create a zone of very high light corals and cut down a bit on your electrical consumption?

Here is how I covered up the nozzles for the closed loop I want the zoo's to over grow and cover them up

and here is a close up of one of the "babies" I have from my multiflora linkia one of about 8 I don't know if all of them made it into the big tank but I've seen 3 so far

hopefully the rest of my lighting will be in tomorrow and I will take some updated shots.

got the calcium reactor online today and have to say it was the easiest calcium reactor to setup that I have used Deltec thought of everything.

There is even a cap to block the circulation tube for when your pouring in the media.

Well I will do my best to take a lot of shots tomorrow.
