many sps tanks have corals growing into each other, i dont think there is much chemical warfare...i'm sure some in released into the water but not like softies.

if you want to see corals growing over eachother check out menard's tank...it's packed in there. but he recently reaquascaped to make some room and to eliminate the reef wall....

obviously this guy is a talented reefer, you cant argue otherwise, but his aqua scaping is what people are comenting about. i see no harm in that. sometimes, less really is more.

re: wild reef picture. zoom out about 20 ft to put the corals in respect to ours....you will see a completely different view.

It´s necessary a lot of skill to keep a tank like that.

I can bet that less than 1% of people here can reach this level.

This Italian tank is just awesome, and if one day I achieve close , I would be very, very happy

Regards

No one is doubting this guy's technical ability/skill to keep such beautiful corals at all.

What most people commented on is his skill (or lack thereof) on aquascaping. Not the same thing at all.

It's like comparing technical ability with artistry.

Art is subjective. It is very personal and everyone has different taste. Our tanks are like paintings. We can admire the whole painting in its entirety. Or we can admire the individual brush strokes. We can enjoy the artists use of colors or simply a just a small part of the painting. Not everyone likes Van Gogh but he's still considered a master.

You are absolutely right and that's why about half of the people posted on this thread didn't like the aquascaping. "Best" is subjective as well

nice growth but the aquascaping seems very compartmentalized. I like when the corals are intertwined. to each his own I guess.

I know this reef from pictures a long time ago, and I agree with Denadai, is the best SPS keeper I've ever seen.

It's just perfect.

Hi,

Does the owner of this tank use any biological additives, coral foods, etc.? I skimmed through the whole thread looking for that info. and didn't see it. Very curious about that....

thanks

That is a beautiful tank plain and simple, most of us would give anything to have a tank like that. But, on RC people always manage to critique.

Simply Amazing tank!!!!!!!!!!!

Heh... Well since we're talking about "best" looking SPS tank. Here's one I saw recently on this thread http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...readid=1053276

to me a tank full of nice colored corals doesn't make it a great tank, that tank is packed to the brim, it just looks like a wall of corals, there's no shape to the tank or any depth to it, they are very nice corals but to me it's way too cluttered.

Well when you get tired of some of those awesome corals, just let me know! hehe The colors are just fabulous. Everything looks so perfect, it almost looks like corals were photo-shopped in, doesn't look real.

How often does the owner have to trim the corals?

What kinds of fish are in there?

Yes....just like in nature! That's the beauty and the awsome color.
