I agree. I only wish I could view all of the pictures. The IT nazis at work block out any photo's hosted by Photobucket and most other web photo url's

I really need to hire someone who knows what they're doing to get some good pictures...these really don't do the tank justice...

Cward -

glad to see some updated pictures, are your corals on roids!? That's some serious growth! You truly have an awesome tank, congrats.

what bulbs/ballasts are you running?

Thank you very much. I'm going to let the mille grow as big as it can, so eventually I'll have to pull some corals that are getting shaded by it and possibly replace them with deep water acro's or LPS corals that don't need as much light. I'm using 400w 20k Radiums on a PFO hqi ballast in the front and 400w 14k Hamiltons on a standard PFO ballast in the rear. All reflectors are LA3's.

Thanks. VERY nice tank, cward. And you obviously take much better pictures than I do. Ever fly out to California? Bring a camera.

bad pics

Here's my tiny contribution, the pics on my comp look much better but after making them 125k compatible the clarity and colors are lost. All except two colonies are brand new frags.

Naka,

Thanks man, i appreciate your compliment about the color because ever since i switched out the lights from 14KK aquaconnect to 20KK iridius and xm's i've been having trouble capturing color intensity. To me the colors in the pics looked dulled down from when i use to run the AC's. Thing is i'm getting much better color in the tank, just not able to figure out how to capture it.

cward....awesome tank, can't believe the size of your colonies...Truly inspiring. If i didn't have the same problem as Kip with being a frag addict i could let some of them grow out.

Kip...Love your color...looking great!!!

I could go on and on...really sweet tanks everybody!

Makes me realize I have a long way to go. I am loving every step, at times I have to force myself away from my tank.
Thanks for all sharing and inspiring.

boobookitty, I only wish I had photography skills. Fortunately I have a good friend (Hollback on RC) that came over a couple of months ago and took those pictures.

DaddyJax, I guess I've had that colony for about 3 years. Here's a picture with the original 5" colony circled in red.

Eric can you give me some equipment specs and info about that choice live rock
Sure no prob.

Tank Lee Mar 180 72 X 24 X 24 with (2) 48 X 24 X 14 tanks plumbed on each side of the display. These are lli sharing a 100g sump.

Return is Sequence Barracuda.

Skimmer is MRC-4 with a Barracuda instead of the recommended Dart.

CR-2 MRC Calcium Reactor (Florida Crushed Coral Media)

Zeo Reactor

4 - 250w SE Irdius (Pic) Also use Radiums and XM's on changeouts. (Main Display)

4 - Luminarc Mini's (Main Display)

Back tank I run 2 Coralvue Reeflux 10k's on thier E-Ballasts with URI VHO Super Actinics.

I would post pics, but I have no way of hosting them to get them here

Pretty simple setup with a 1 1/2" sandbed. The Live Rock is Tonga Kaeilini on the bottom. I used massive pieces for my foundation and filled the rest with Buna Branch, Marshal Island and Pukani. That's pretty much it

Wow such nice tanks here. Guess I'll post a few of mine. These are before my upgrade from the 225 to the 550. I'll have to post an update on it in a few months after my frags grow out some.

And one more

cward, Awesome tank! I am trying to get mine to this same level of aquascaping but I don't think I'm gonna make it. I need to get rid of coral and rock and, and, and, I JUST CAN'T.

Once again!
