invincible- the skimmer needs to be cleaned
out, I have yet to clean it top to bottom from the
day it got water, the sumps and tank need to be
syphoned also-been concentrating on the system
components more then maintenance-

46bfinGA- no worries on the alum. diamond metal
it will hold up for this application just fine-the specular
clear sheet was actually a gift from a local metal supply
house-the sheet had 6" cut off of it for a sample so
they just gave it to me which left me with enough
to cover a 96" pc. of plywood-lumenarcs are made
of the same material from what I understand.

what is that? It looks like a black tang but with the body form of a scopas. Is that just the juevenile form?

update-with the 4 day weekend, I'm gonna
start moving corals over from the 450. I plan on
doing a 10min. tmpcc dip to all the acro's before
they go in wether they need it or not-good idea?
Three acanthrus tangs-chocolate,powder blue and
achilles have settled in over the past few weeks, besides
the pair of african clowns still in the old tank, I need to
decide what to do with the others-3 purple ,1 chevron,
2 hippo tangs-sargassum trigger,cb butterfly,fairy wrasse,
tail spot bleny, janze pipe. The 450 is gonna be fowlr
and there is 3 puffers-mappa,porc and stars/stripes- in
my 150g /deep sand bed connected to the 700 waiting
to be moved over.Lots still to do

Im big into aquascaping and check this forum for inspiration.
The latest aquascape looks like its better. I was going to say whats the point of paying so much for reef ceramic if its just going to be covered up? the tank was looking too full of rock.... your robbing the fish of swimming space. Nice work so far

funny how you can have so much room and
too much rock. I had some real big pcs. and got
a little carried away, since I have done a little thinning
out and when all the corals are in, there will be more to
thin out I am sure. About the corals, moved a few
frags/colonies today. Meantime a real bad thing
happened-worst nightmare- my brand new achilles
that has settled in/eating everything-some how got
his dang mouth full of superglue while I was mounting
frags-dang. I do not know how the heck he got in it, I
have always worried about that happening-
very discouraging and might need to re-aquascape
just to catch him.

life is good!!!!!!!- Yes the fish had a beard
of glue and his mouth was glued shut. I fed and
he tried eating but could not get his mouth opened!!
I wake up today dreading to have to catch this fish,
but whatever happened overnight between him the
rocks and the other fish, dude's mouth is clean of all
glue and he can actually eat everything I throw in
the tank again. He does have signs of cryp/ich but
if my mouth was glued shut I would prolly get stressed
also.I will feed well today and hopefully he'll battle through.

well I would guess that the fish's ability to slime probably played a key role.

update- pano style pic with the fish and corals transferred, all got treated with fluke tabs before going in to eliminate any unwanted pests, color is coming back and a few have already encrusted-things are looking up.

Having that tank in a room with a pool table would scare the ... out of me. An errant ball could send it crashing, major flood. Wouldn't want to lose a reef like that.
