JOV,

When you picked up your ORA clown, was the coloration more yellow/orange, oppose to the current deep orange. I forget how long u have had the ORAs, also what are you feeding?

Thanks,
Bones

I just got the ORA a few months ago, it has always been the nice bright orange.

I feed cyclopeeze, Mysis & pellet alternating.

well i just got some onyx, which i was told were from rod. the guy i got them from said that the color kinda faded on them because they were hosting in a sebae???? is that true that colors fade with a host? I dont know but anyhow for 40bucks for the pair it was a good deal either way

well the lights are off and the color of the female is a little faded right now but in general they both look like just true percs to me. during the day the female is pretty dark between the front and middle bar but its not black like onyx are usually. maybe it will color up but im just wondering. I like them either way!

I did make it clear that one is WC, and one is from rod...I promise you the fish in the top pic is a rod's onyx that lost it's coloration in my anemone and is in the process of regaining it...the bottom pic is a WC onyx clown, both faded tremendously in my sebae as I documented in this thread.

ok so is it just anemonies that will cause the fading. I know mine already are hosting in the frogspawn so will that also cause continued fading???

The top one is the rods, very easy to tell

Not all Anem's cause fading, just certian ones. It seems most find fading in RBTA's ... alot of people have rods onyx in RBTA's with no fading issues at all though. Its the individual anem. I dont think frogspawn has ever caused fading though so hopefully they will color up good soon.

$40 for both is a great deal! rod sells his with less color for $50 & ones with more for $70 I believe.

Holy rods food... I just organized a large group order for my reef club. I fed it for the first time & my fish went nuts!!!!! I highly reccomend getting this stuff... my 6 line dove into my clowns mouth to grab the food.

I am getting some Rod's food from a fellow reefer who got a ton from Salt Water U in Atlanta. Now I am kicking myself for not attending that.
