Wow Garrick, you weren't kidding when you said the new tank is full already! Looks awesome though, gonna have to make a visit to your house and Scott's again and perhaps this trip Shawn will be available.

That is a beautiful reef tank! One of the best on RC. I am also running 250W 14KK Hamiltons (DE Version) and I was planning on upgrading to 400's but you have now convinced me to stick with my 250's.

Awesome Job!

Garrick,

You've done a masterful work on your tank! It looks really good! What kind of tank is that again? I'm looking into new tanks to put in-wall and was wondering if it's worth spending the extra, extra bucks for starphire frontal glass. From the looks of yours, it doesn't seem to be! I'll try to get out there with Lyndel this time as last time I became ill. Hard to get you, Scott and Shawn together at one time! Trying to kill 3 birds with one stone ya' know!

Gotta give props to Greg for the awesome pics! Greg is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet!

kaisersoze - Thanks... just let me know when you're heading to Scott's and you can swing over too.

Nick - The rock does not touch the back glass. The only place they touch toward the back is on the overflow.

MacnReef - Those 250 SE are doing the job for now... electricity in CA is so expensive... I couldn't get myself to get 400's. If electricty weren't an issue, I would be VERY curious to see how the 400DE's are.

Joe - WOW... you're tank was one of the tanks that inspired me to do the transfer from the 75 and truly aquascape! Thank you very much!!!

Roland - You are always welcome at the house anytime! I got my tank through www.mparkis.com. For the life of me, I can't think of the name of the tank builder but they're in City of Industry. My tank isn't starfire because there's probably another upgrade after this one down the road, but you can definately see the difference between my tank and Scott's starfire tank.

Dang! Why'd you have go say that for! Now I'm going to have to spend the big bucks!
Didn't get a chance at the swap to chat much with you as it was a bit chaotic and it didn't help that I didn't have a prime spot like you, Carlos and Lyndel had! I was stuck in the muddy corners, getting pushed around buy Dave's tortois! That's what I get for coming just 15min late!lol

Here's proof!

See, here's where the main event was taking place and you can easily see Lyndel in the thick of things, pushing his frags on everybody! I'm so far to the left that even if you went another 20ft, I still wouldn't be in the pic!

Hahahaha... sorry Roland! It's not a bad thing... I see it more like... good and better =) Just think, at least you don't have to get the sides starfire since it will be an in wall tank. Look at the money you'll save there!

Yeah, I wish we had to chance to talk more at the swap... I'd love to figure out what you've got in that tank of yours now! Hehe

From the look of your tank, I don't think you have much room anyhow for more frags!

Hahaha... thanks Mike! It's tough to leave this hobby alone. I always feel like I want to change something or move things around, but after all this time... it always seems that the less I have my hand in the tank, the better it looks!

Dang Garrick. Tank is looking awesome. Good seeing you again at the swap. Thanks for the tyree. Lemme know how that stag does. Should look really good under 14K's and t-5's

Christian, no problem on the frag... the one you gave me is looking good too. Polyps were out after 5 minutes in the tank! Good to see you again this weekend.

did you use epoxy or something to hold all that rock?

thanks!

Thank rock is pretty sturdy but it would come down in an earthquake. I did not epoxy the rock together. There is probably only 2-3 inches from the back at the closest point.

How do you like your T5's? I currently run T5's and I am not all that impressed.
