I heard the new line of BK come with smaller pump now. Therefore the price drop a little bit. Lucky you got the RDBK2000.

Mr Ching, do you notice a significant improvement between the two protein skimmer?

I don't know what's prettier, the skimmer or the nog it produces. Nice upgrade!

Why can't I see the power cords to your waveboxes - how do you conceal them?

If i am not wrong, he has his wire running inside the box through the top of the wavebox, therefore you don't see them hanging on the side.

Does that impede performance of the wavebox?

Not at all. I have mine running inside the wavebox through the top. I don't even use the top lit and the performance still the same.

Chingchai, beautiful tank.........did you get confirmation that it will be Tank of the Month soon?

Anyways, do you have any Vortech pumps in your tank and if not, do you plan on buying Vortech pumps with the battery backup?

The BK skimmer is awesome too and seems to be pulling up so much junk.

Yes, I agree with you.

I didn't conceal power cords. It is just on the edge of the picture.

Thank you Mike.
No, I didn't get any confirmation yet. Still hoping.

I can't use Vortech with this tank because the magnet can't match with the thickness of acrylic.
But I did use it with another smaller SPS tank. Quite satisfied with the performance.

Beautiful as always
The Bubble King is a nice compliment to the tank, it deserves to be on a setup like this.

Are there anymore changes to the system you would like to make in the near future?

Your tank is GEORGEOUS! I love the way you transition from SPS high in the tank to LPS at the bottom! Very sweet!

that is some serious performance on the BK ching. However on the zeovit forum more and more people are switching over to the KZ skimmers from BKs. you might want to look into this

I spoke to one of the KZ owner today and he is not very impress with the KZ skimmer (the S model). Either he did not tune it right or it is just not that impressive after all. I also have a friend who using the M model and he is happy with the result (he is changing from BK250 int ) to KZ.

I will never change my BK for any other skimmer. If i ever have to go with something else, i will go with H&S

I don't see any reason to change as it seems like the BK is doing an impressive job!

Chingchai -do you feed your tank? If you do, please tell me all the food/supplements you feed your tank.

Thanks for your advice.

I daily dose C-balance and I feed my coral with DT's Oyster egg every other day. That's it.

Chingchai -what do you feed your fish? You have dendrophyllia corals in your tank don't you. I thought I saw some.....do they just catch food that comes near them or do you target feed them?

thanks!

good luck trusting that, there is no reason for anybody to switch from BK to KZ unless they are overskimming with the bk then the KZ will take care of that and skim way less.

Ching i dont know if its your white balance on the camera but your tank looks better than ever maybe the new skimmer is getting more of the yellowing agents out of your water.

Bravo.

Yes, I did notice and feel that the water in my tank is clearer than before.
You got very sharp eyes.
