ok, so if I drill the tank upright, as you're doing in the above picture, I should do it somewhere where I woon't mind getting a lot of water. is there anyway I could do it upright without using a hose? Maybe a spray bottle of water? would that keep things cool/lubricated enough?

yes you can but take youe time at it. I let me friend use my bit to drill his 150. He lowered the water level down to below the hole and drill the tank in his house.

well, the tank is empty. It's just that with a big tank made of 5/8th's in thick glass, it's REALLY heavy empty so I want to move it as little as possible.
