I've been thinking of questions to ask in order to replicate this masterpiece.

um... how about.

How do you manage to keep your sand so clean? Do you do the Steve Weast method of siphoning out a layer of sand and put new sand in?

Very well done I love the tank. I also have switched over to XM20K 400 Watt bulbs. They give off great color and is very pleasing to the eye. But for some reason the camera take the pictures on the blue side.

Let me know when you do decide to start fragging again b/c I would really love to get a few frags of your colonies, they are very nice.

Great tank and very helpful progression pics.

I can't decide which lighting combination I like the best, each different combination seems to accentuate one group of coral or the next.

Except for the M. Cap, it dominates! I see some very nice zoanthid colonies too...

Very nice work.

Well my sand has always been fairly clean. I have many Bristleworms and amphipods that keep the sand nice and clean. Quite a bit of sand dissolves in my tank so every 6 months or so I siphon a little out and add new sand on top. One 15lb bag of Caribsea Reefloor Special grade is more than enough.

I have seen this tank in person and I have a frag of almost every coral in it, these pics do this tank no justice, the red cap is so big you wouldnt even be able to get your arms around it and he keeps it real simple, and when you get frags off of him they ae like 4" frags, he is what you call a perfect reefer!
